Subete no Yoru wo Omoidasu | Remembering Every Night | 2022

Synopsis

The film captures a day in the lives of three women navigating Tama New Town. It revolves around the ordinary—job center visits, bus rides, cycling, and the simple joys of early summer in the park. Occasionally intersecting, the characters' paths converge, like the elder mimicking the younger's dance. The camerawork and editing masterfully balance intimacy and distance, seizing unexpected moments. A synthesizer intermittently adds subtle, gentle gurgles and rattles, enriching the atmospheric narrative.
