RULES & REGULATIONS – For Consideration – Indian Competition Section

Welcome to the Indian Competition Section of the Ajanta–Ellora International Film Festival (AIFF). We’re delighted to have you here.

Founded in 2014 in the historic city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad), AIFF has evolved into one of India’s most respected film festivals. It is organized by the Marathwada Art, Culture and Film Foundation (MACFF) and presented in collaboration with Nath Group, MGM University, and Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Mumbai. The festival is proudly endorsed by FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) and the Federation of Film Societies of India (FFSI), with continued support from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra Film, Stage & Cultural Development Corporation Limited.

AIFF celebrates powerful storytelling from India and around the world. The Indian Competition Section showcases exceptional Indian feature films from the festival year, offering filmmakers a distinguished platform to present their work to critics, industry professionals, and engaged audiences. Beyond screenings, the festival fosters meaningful dialogue through discussions, awards, and interactive sessions—deepening the appreciation of cinema as both an art form and a medium of expression.

If your film reflects originality, strong craft, and a distinct voice, we warmly invite you to submit and be part of this vibrant cinematic movement.
