N Manu Chakravarthy
N Manu Chakravarthy has done M.A. in English (University of Mysore) and Specialization in European Classics, Literary Criticism, Cultural Theory. He is Presently a visiting Professor at several Universities and Film Institutes, lecturing on cultural theory and film theory. He has 38 years of teaching experience since 1979. He teaches Feminist Theory, Post- colonial theory, Film Theory, Communication, critical theory, Indian writing in English. In the areas of Cultural and Political Theory and Film Theory. He also formerly visited as a Professor for Post Graduate Courses at Bangalore Central University and National College Basavana Gudi, Bangalore. Also Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English NMKRV College for Women, Bangalore.
N Manu Chakravarthy has participation in National Panels/ Boards. He has edited many books, with Introduction and foreward. He has written many Articles on different issues. Also given Interviews and Reviews related to Literature, Culture and Contemporary politics, Cinemas, Feminism, Music and general issues published in Literary journals and leading newspapers.
He has received awards such as “Swarna Kamal” – the Best Film Critic Award for 2010 at the 58th National Film Awards, Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award 2014 for his book MADHYAMA MARGA (a work on cultural/ literary/film theory and on music and the media. Sri V.M.Inamdar memorial award conferred by the Govinda Pai Research Foundation, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada.
Dr. Sreedevi P Arvind
Dr. Sreedevi is a Documentry Film Maker and Writer. She has done her MA and M Phil ( Fantasy in Narrative Fiction and film: A transgenre Enquiry in the works of Padmarajan) at Sree Sankaracharya university of Sanskrit Kalady. Also done her Phd from Calicut University in 'City in Cinema - A study of Urban Spaces in Malayalam films from 1950's to 1980's.' She is currently working as an Assistant Professor for Dept of Film Studies, Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University Tirur, Kerala.
Sreedevi has Directed many Documentaries, Signature, AD and Short films mostly in Malayalam. She has written a Script for a Feature film which got selected in the final round of Woman Cinema Funding by
Kerala State Film Development Corporation.
Also she has written many other books on comparative literature.
Sreedevi is a member of the Director Panel of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Her achievements such as 'Chalachitra Academy Fellowship in 2018. Lalilathakala Academy junior Fellowship for Bharatanatyam for 8
years. Currently she is doing numerous Programmes on Akashvani Thiruvanandapuram, like reading Scripts and voice documentaries on Movies of Balan, Bakta Kuchela, and Karutha Kai.
Sachin Chatte
Sachin Chatte is a film critic based in Goa. He has been writing about cinema for 30 years now, starting from 1993. He also teaches film appreciation at Goa University and various other colleges in the state. An avid music and cricket fan, he is a Radio Jockey with AIR FM Rainbow for 25 years and a cricket commentator for All India Radio.
Subsequently, from 1998 till date, he has been reviewing films for The Navhind Times in Goa and has contributed to various other publications as well.
He is a member of FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) and apart from being a film critic, he also curates films for the Cinephile Film Club of the Entertainment Society of Goa and has served on several juries.On its premiere in competition at the Sundance, Ezra was nominated for the Humanitas Prize, and later screened in the Semaine de la Critique at the Festival de Cannes and was awarded the UN Prize for Peace and Tolerance, among other awards. Aduaka was named one of the 50 Greatest Cultural Figures Shaping the African Continent by the London Independent. He lives in Paris.
